Laura Stanley PT, DPT completed his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at Duke University, and during his time as a cycle was a member of Cross Country Women's Duke & Track program, serving as co-captain for four years. After a year off to work and travel, she returned to Duke and completed his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She was elected class president and served as Co-DTC 5K race director during this time.She is now working to become a specialist sports clinics throughout the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, which recently completed a residency in Physical Therapy Sports Therapy Proax in Greenville, SC. She is currently working as a therapist Proax staff treating and conducting research. Dr. Stanley enjoys working with endurance athletes, but his passion lies in the treatment of athletic knee and shoulder conditions, especially the rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction in high school and college population. In his spare time, Dr.Stanely enjoys running, attending coffee, spending time with friends and family, watching sports and college .... Especially rooting for the Blue Devils!
Melissa H. Scales, PT, DPT received her doctorate in physical therapy clinic at Duke University and completed an accredited residency pediatric physical therapy at Duke University Health System. She is currently a physical therapist school serving the public schools of Durham system for children from preschool to high school with a wide range of diagnostic and functional disorders. DrScales is also a visiting professor in rehab in pediatrics. She worked as a PT with the children in the acute care facility, home care and outpatient rehab. She is a proud new mother and enjoys watching his daughters young primitive reflexes disappear.
